Bar Finch in Mayfair is the vision of Charles Finch. The brief was to design a classic Roman or Venetian bar, with a nod to Charles’s adventures and transatlantic experiences. The project began with a trip to Milan with list of bars to visit for inspiration. 

Detail and craftsmanship were to be at the heart of the design to deliver a classic, timeless and understated space. The backdrop of honeycomb oak walls, tartan carpet and bottle green booths wrap around the central bar where high stools sit in a regimented row.

The aesthetic both externally and internally was considered in fine detail and the space is curated and layered with Charles’s personal pieces. The beautifully dressed tables with white tablecloths suggest ‘old-school’ London, and with carefully considered lighting and seating placement the bar is convivial and intimate.
